In his 22-season career Winfield won the Gold Glove seven times led the Toronto Blue Jays to their first championship and amassed 3110 career hits. As a New York Yankee Winfield averaged 27 home runs per season and became the first Yankee since Joe DiMaggio to drive in 100 or more runs in five straight seasons.
