A singular memento, this captivating, moderately worn ball has been signed by three of the game's greatest: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Connie Mack. The cream-colored OAL (Barnard) sphere features the signature of Ruth, with an inscription of the date-- "10/8/28" -- in his hand, in penmanship that occupies much of a side panel and flows into the sweet spot. Another side panel carries a similar treatment placed by Gehrig, and both of the great Yankees' autographs are accompanied by one-word salutations as well as personalization to the same individual. Finally, a third side panel holds the unembellished signature of Mack. All three names are rendered in black ink that maintains "6-7" strength, with Ruth's just a bit lesser. The two dated and inscribed signatures were rendered during the 1928 World Series on the Yankees' off-day (their break from beating the Cardinals in Game 3 on the 7th, then finishing a Series sweep on the 9th), with Mack's name perhaps added on another occasion. The autographs have been authenticated by PSA/DNA. It comes with their full page certificate.
